The Anachronist

I'm John Skylar, PhD-to-be, a virologist and science fiction writer. This place is a jot pad for all manner of things related to any and all of my publications in fiction and/or fact.

That was sufficiently vague, don't you think?

Dr. John Skylar, who has a (somewhat disused) blog over on blogger, is a character I created to represent my science fiction as if it were the fact of a multiverse far richer than the world we know.

I am also the founder of an organization called Better Worlds.

Wow, tumblr staff.  “Super cool” of you to feature a blog where a cab driver tags pictures of ultra-orthodox Jews as “#Yids,” “#Heebs,” and “#landlords.”  I’m surprised he didn’t use the k-word; he’s got all the other slurs that people don’t call Jews anymore.
Where by super cool I mean NOT cool.  Insensitive is probably a better word.  And I’m being generous with that.

Animation student Tom Hunter made his first stop-motion animation while in high school: a film about an orange creature named Reg who had the misfortune of losing a sock. He’s been hooked ever since. Today, he’s one year away from finishing an animation degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. In the meantime, he’s done work for the upcoming season of Yo Gabba Gabba!, created layouts for Adventure Time, and plans some series pitches for TV networks that I can’t even mention.
